  4. Hot flashes often get worse during hot weather. During these times, it is better for you to wear clothes made of cotton, which allows the skin to breathe.
  5. Taking Vitamin E. There has been a study that was conducted in Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation that Vitamin might help reduce the occurrence and severity of hot flashes and night sweats.
  6. Black Cohosh. This is a very popular choice for reducing hot flashes including headaches, heart palpitations and anxiety. Black cohosh is known to be a safe herbal medicine.

There are also tips on how to survive hot flashes.

  • You should be avoiding turtleneck dresses and blouses.
  • Take a cool shower before you go to bed.
  • You can also try a medication such as Tylenol.
  • Avoid wearing wool, synthetics and be wary with silk.

Remember that hot flashes on different women varies that is why if ever you feel that the symptoms does not seem to improve, it is best to consult your doctor because in some cases, they can give you additional medications on how to control and alleviate symptoms in menopause.
